RICT 2013
Drug Discovery and Selection

When Chemical Biology meets Drug Design

Nice, France - July 3-5, 2013

This major international symposium will gather more than 600 scientists from around the world at the Conference Center Nice Acropolis.

The scientific programme, which will include over 25 plenary lectures by internationally well-known scientists, will focus on "Drug Discovery and Selection - When Chemical Biology meets Drug Design", covering the main stages of modern drug discovery:

  1. Target Identification and Validation
  2. Novel Innovative Therapeutic Approaches
  3. Hit-to-Lead, Lead-to-Drug Candidate
  4. ADME-Tox
  5. Case Studies

The scientific committee ensures the high quality and diversity of the scientific programme together with the accessibility of the meeting to PhD/post-doc and local Master students. For the latter, an advantageous registration fee will be proposed. Moreover, a special career session will be organised with industrial and academic participants.

During the meeting the P. Ehrlich Lecture Prize of the ‘Société de Chimie Thérapeutique’ will be awarded to a researcher or a research team for his or her outstanding contributions to medicinal chemistry. In addition, a poster session will provide the opportunity for all participants to present their current results. A “best poster” prize will also be attributed.

Located in southern Europe and at the most south-eastern tip of France, Nice is a privileged intersection between the Alps, the Provence, Corsica and Italy. After Paris, Nice is the second most popular tourist destination in France. With its 400.000 inhabitants, it is the fifth largest city of the country, and one of the most vibrant European cities.

Nice, also known as the jewel of the French Riviera, offers a multitude of pleasures to almost every one of every age. Not only the city's seaside location and the abundance of activities, but also the exceptional weather conditions make Nice a wonderful destination for international events. Nice is also popular for its ease of access: the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, the second largest in France, offers direct services to 90 destinations in more than 40 countries.

The RICT organisers warmly invite you to attend the RICT Symposium this July, and to take your time to discover Nice and the French Riviera - be it before, during or after the conference. Let there be no doubt: Nice is the perfect destination where business can be easily combined with pleasure!
