Conference Venue
HTC-14 will take place at:
Het Pand Onderbergen 1 9000 Ghent Belgium
Het Pand is nowadays the cultural and congres center of the University of Ghent. It is an old Dominican monastery located in the heart of the city on the banks of the river Leie, near the medieval port with the guildhalls as its remnants.
How to get there
By public transport
Arriving at Brussels airport: The Airport City Express leaves from within the airport building (floor -2) and takes you to one of the main stations in Brussels (subsequently Noord/Nord, Centraal/Central and Zuid/Midi), where you can switch to one of the many intercity trains (IC trains) to "Gent-Sint-Pieters", Ghent's main railway station. Some trains run directly from the airport to "Gent-Sint-Pieters".
From the railway station Gent St-Pieters to the conference venue:
- BY TRAM
Trams are leaving in front of the railway station, at the left side of the building. Take tram 1 (every 6 minutes) or tram 24 (every 20 minutes). Go off at the stop called "Korenmarkt", from where you can walk to Het Pand: cross the river via the bridge "Sint-Michielshelling", and turn around the Sint Michaels church. Het Pand is situated next to the church.
- BY BUS
Busses are leaving in front of the railway station. Take line 3, 17, 18, 38 or 39 (stop “Korenmarkt”).
By car
- Follow the parking signage to parking P7 Sint-Michiels, which is at 50 meter from Het Pand
- An alternative parking is P8 Ramen, located at a 5 minutes' walk from Het Pand
