The University of Orleans and the Institute of Organic and Analytical Chemistry (ICOA) organize the 45th edition of the prestigious International Conference on Medicinal Chemistry (RICT 45). This scientific meeting will take place from 1 to 3th of July, on the University campus.  It is in direct continuity with the Region Centre actions in the field of Health, which will soon be strengthened by the creation of a “Pôle Pharma”.

The scientific program, approved by the industrial and academic members of the scientific committee, is focused on drug discovery and selection. Various major and fascinating topics, going from biological, bio-physical and computing tools, through screening and organic synthesis to the discovery of new treatments, are proposed.

To increase the attractiveness of our conferences and to demonstrate the necessity for multidisciplinarity, creativity and open-mindedness in medicinal chemistry, most of the presentations will be devoted to studies focused on molecules, their discovery, their optimization, their mode of action and their use as drugs. To reach this objective, two parallel sessions will be held, offering up to thirty conferences to the participants.

In order to make this major event accessible to students, a preferential and extremely attractive discount is proposed. Moreover, a special career session will be organized in the presence of industrial and academic specialists in medicinal chemistry.

To complete our program, two major scientific prizes will be awarded by the “Société de Chimie Thérapeutique” (P. Ehrlich and C. Mentzer Prizes) to researchers or teams of researchers for their major contributions in medicinal chemistry. Besides, also the best poster will receive a prize.

Orleans, situated in the heart of France and just an hour from Paris, is the capital of the Loire Valley.
