SPICA History

The International Symposium on Preparative Chromatography and Allied techniques (SPICA) is an international multi-disciplinary forum for specialists active in all branches of fundamental research and practical applications of Preparative Separation Science in life and natural sciences, including corresponding areas of chemistry, biology, polymers and biotechnology.

Initially the meetings were called "PREP", later re-named "International Symposium on Preparative and Industrial Chromatography and Allied Techniques", under the acronym SPICA. The Symposium is held biennially in places within Europe.
